A GOOD PLACE TO START SERIES: Forever Young

Today’s recommended reading is an illustrated, by Paul Rogers, story of Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young” song. Dylan has long been an ally and champion of civil rights, singing out against wrongful incarceration of black people, espousing anti-racism, and expressing concern for our planet and ALL of its people.

This book chronicles two friends, black and white, on their journey as they read, learn, sing together, and become voices for their causes through art and activism. Toddlers will love the lyrics and the depictions of friendship and music, which also promote inclusion and allyship. As toddlers grow older the images of protests and involvement are excellent opportunities to talk frankly to kids about how people endeavor to make changes toward a better world for everyone, not just the privileged.

Highly recommend this one and thankful for our copy gifted from sweet friends for my kiddo’s 1st birthday! (Thank you Cody & Kate!) Definitely a forever favorite! 🛣🪕🎤✌🏼✌🏽✌🏾✌🏿🌬🌎🌼
